Different service layouts, custom content types or simpler editing may call for a purpose-built theme. I start with the points that cause difficulty in your current setup and assess what needs to change.
If you have a design, I review desktop and mobile layouts. Otherwise, we agree content priorities and page outlines first. Visual design and development are identified in the proposal.
Planning how content will be edited
We decide which headings, images and recurring sections should be editable. The choice of blocks, fields and templates follows the site's content rather than adding controls you will not use.

Development and review
I prepare shared components and key templates, then use real content early. This exposes layout problems caused by long headings or differently sized images before launch.
Navigation, keyboard use, form fields and technical SEO basics are considered during development. Checks and external service requirements are documented in the scope.
Files, documentation and future changes
Handover includes theme files, setup information and instructions for the agreed editing fields. Third-party components, licences and source-file rights are documented.
Updates may require future compatibility work. The correction period, additional features and ongoing maintenance are defined separately so you know how later changes will be handled.
Common questions
Can you develop a theme from a Figma design?
Yes. I review the design, mobile layouts and interaction notes before quoting. Missing screens or unclear behaviour are resolved before development.
Will I be able to edit the content?
We agree editable fields at the start and cover their use at handover. A new type of page may still need additional development.
Is a custom theme always faster?
Performance also depends on hosting, images, content and integrations. Development can reduce unnecessary work, but a fixed performance score cannot be promised for every environment.
Should business features be built into the theme?
Features and data that must survive a theme change may belong in a separate plugin. We consider presentation and persistent functionality together when planning the project.
