Premium WordPress Theme Customization
Your premium theme may already meet most of your needs. A difficult menu or an awkward mobile layout can still make the site harder to use. I review these changes alongside the theme's structure and update requirements.
Send your requested changesReview the current setup first
I identify which changes can use existing settings and which need code. The page builder, required plugins and existing modifications are part of that review.
A valid licence and access to update files matter. Existing custom code also needs checking before files are replaced or settings are changed.
Define changes by page or component
We agree the specific areas to adjust and use realistic content to check long headings and smaller screens.
- Header, footer and navigation
- Service or product page layouts
- Typography, spacing and colour settings
- Mobile overflow and overlapping elements
- Form appearance and available theme components
Plan for future theme updates
Direct edits to parent-theme files can be overwritten. Depending on the theme and change, I consider a child theme, supported hooks or a separate plugin.
We prepare a backup and use a test environment where possible. After editing, we check affected templates and document the areas to review after future updates.
Keep the scope clear
A layout adjustment and a new booking flow require different work. The proposal describes the areas, expected behaviour and any additional plugin or licence costs.
If the theme cannot support the request with reasonable maintenance, I explain the alternatives. We can compare customization, replacement and custom development alongside content migration and upkeep.
Common questions
Can you work with a theme I already own?
Yes, if the licence is valid and the required files are available. We review its permitted use and the number of sites covered first.
Does a child theme prevent every update problem?
No. It can keep some changes separate, but major parent-theme changes may still need compatibility work. Post-update checks remain important.
Can you change just the mobile menu?
Yes, subject to the theme structure. We agree the behaviour and review submenus, screen sizes and keyboard use.
Will my live site need to close?
Where possible, I work on a test copy and release the agreed changes. Any operation that affects the live site is planned with you beforehand.
