Match the plan to the site's activity

A small business site and a store taking daily orders need different arrangements. We agree the check frequency, backups and critical functions around actual use.

Licence renewals, hosting and external service fees may be separate from maintenance. I review access and existing accounts and record any missing licence or backup requirement.

Choose the tasks to include

The plan lists the work and intervals that fit the site. Feature development and substantial design changes require their own scope.

• Notes on completed work and remaining needs

Check the site after an update

An update needs follow-up checks of compatibility, navigation and important actions. Where possible, significant changes are reviewed in a test environment first.

If an incompatibility appears, we assess recovery or correction options. Work beyond the maintenance scope is discussed separately. Store check times are planned around their activity.

Know what the backup covers

We should understand which files and database are covered, where the backup is kept and how it can be restored. Frequency, retention and any restore testing are defined in the plan.

Maintenance notes record changes, checks and recommendations. The agreement does not automatically include unlimited support, content production or continuous monitoring. Additional hours and response expectations can be agreed.
