WordPress Technical Support
When a page stops loading or an update breaks a form, the first step is to find the cause. I investigate WordPress problems, explain the proposed fix and check the functions affected by the change.
Describe the problemInformation that helps the first review
Tell me whether you can access the dashboard, which pages are affected and what changed before the error appeared. The exact error message is more useful than a general description.
Do not send passwords in the first message. If access is required, we agree on a temporary account and appropriate permissions. Remove customer details, tokens and session information from screenshots.
Problems I can investigate
I separate theme, plugin and hosting issues and check external integrations when they are involved. The available backup is reviewed before intervention.
- Errors following plugin or theme updates
- Dashboard access and permission problems
- Form submission and email delivery issues
- Broken page layouts or missing content areas
- Diagnosis of server-related errors
Checking the affected function after a fix
Disabling a plugin can remove an error while also removing a needed feature. I retest the affected page, form or transaction step so we can see the effect of the change.
Handover notes describe the intervention and any unresolved dependency. If a licence renewal, hosting change or provider action is needed, I identify the next step.
Response time and cost
We agree timing around the impact of the problem and my availability. This service does not automatically include round-the-clock coverage or a fixed resolution deadline. Ongoing support hours and response expectations can be agreed separately.
After the initial review, I explain the scope and cost. If the investigation reveals additional work, I discuss it before proceeding. Routine updates and checks can be covered through maintenance.
Common questions
What should I send if the whole site is down?
Send the domain, visible error and approximate start time. Mention recent updates or hosting changes. Keep passwords out of the initial message.
Will every plugin need replacing?
That depends on the diagnosis. I first identify the affected component and assess the consequences of a change. Working components do not need replacing simply because another part fails.
Can you investigate missing form emails?
Yes. I can review submission handling, mail settings and server responses. If an external mail provider requires access or record changes, we plan those steps together.
How does support differ from maintenance?
Support deals with a particular problem. Maintenance covers scheduled updates, backups and checks under an agreed plan. Their scope and timing are defined separately.
Start with the error you can see
Share the affected page and when the issue began. We can establish what is needed for the investigation and agree the next step.
