WordPress Setup Service
I set up WordPress websites that you can manage after launch. We agree on the pages and features first, then work through hosting, site structure, contact forms and the checks needed before the website goes live.
Discuss your website setupWhat is included in a WordPress setup?
The first conversation is about your business and the purpose of the site. An enquiry website, a booking service and an online shop need different structures. I use that information to plan the navigation, pages and features before installing themes or plugins.
I check the hosting requirements, domain connection and HTTPS setup. Paid themes or plugins are discussed before purchase, including who owns the licence and whether it requires renewal.
- WordPress installation, essential settings and administrator access.
- The agreed pages, navigation and mobile layouts.
- Contact form configuration and delivery checks.
- Page addresses, titles and search visibility settings.
- A backup approach and clear handover responsibilities.
Checks before launch
I review the site with real content in place. Readable headings, working phone links, form delivery and layouts that fit smaller screens all belong in the launch checks. A demo page alone does not tell us how your actual content will behave.
I also review page links and the search visibility settings used during development. Crawlable pages and sensible metadata help search engines understand the website; they do not guarantee an indexing date or ranking.
Planning around your content
We can agree on a page list before every image or paragraph is ready. I explain what each section needs so that you can prepare the content. Copywriting, photography and extensive image editing are discussed separately when required.
If you already have a website, send its address. I can review the content and URLs that need to be kept. Larger transfers and redirect planning may require a separate migration scope.
Timing, pricing and handover
The quote depends on the number of pages, available content, theme choice and any custom functions. We agree on delivery dates once the work and required access are clear.
At handover, I explain how to update the agreed content and which accounts and licences belong to you. Ongoing maintenance and later development can be arranged separately.
Common questions
Do I need to buy hosting and a domain first?
A live website needs both. If you have not chosen them yet, I can help you assess the requirements. Ownership, fees and management permissions are agreed before we begin.
Can I edit the website myself after handover?
You can update the text and images supported by the content structure. I show you the routine editing steps at handover. Changes to the design or functionality may need additional development.
Does setup include a WooCommerce shop?
Tell me about the shop at the start. Products, payments, shipping and order management require their own setup. Integrations and paid licences are listed explicitly in the agreed scope.
Will Google show the website immediately?
I can prepare crawlable pages and essential settings. Search engines decide whether and when to index them. Immediate search visibility is not a promised part of the handover.
Let’s start with the pages you need.
Tell me about your business, what the website should do and any target launch date. I will outline the work and the items included in the quote.
